La Joya ISD is thrilled to offer Learn to Swim lessons for both children and adults this summer! 🏊♀️🏊♂️ Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your skills, our program is perfect for everyone!
Program Details:
Who: Children (ages 5 and up) and adults
When: Monday through Thursday, with 45-minute daily sessions
Duration: 2 weeks
Cost: $50 fee

We want to inform you about an accident involving one of our school buses earlier this morning. At approximately 7:23 a.m., while our school bus was transporting students to Lorenzo De Zavala Middle School a vehicle struck our bus near Expressway 83 and Flores St. in Sullivan City.
Seven students were on board at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported.

Today was an exciting day for the 6th-grade students in Mrs. Reyna's class. They had a unique opportunity to learn from SSgt Dom Everett through a Zoom session about "STEMtoSky."
As the Zoom session began, the students found themselves drawn into the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and aviation. SSgt Dom Everett, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic member of the STEMtoSky program, shared his passion for science and flight with the class.
With captivating visuals and interactive discussions, SSgt Dom Everett guided the students through the principles of flight, the importance of STEM in aviation, and the various career opportunities available in the field.
The students were enthralled as they learned about the connection between STEM subjects and real-world applications, especially in aviation. They asked questions and shared their thoughts
By the end of the session, the students were buzzing with excitement, inspired by what they had learned. They couldn't wait to explore more about STEM and maybe even consider a future in aviation.
Mrs. Reyna's class was grateful for the opportunity to learn from SSgt Dom Everett and the STEMtoSky program. It was a Zoom session they would never forget, sparking a new interest and opening their eyes to the endless possibilities that STEM subjects offer. ✈️🚀🌟 #STEMtoSky #FutureAviators
