Congratulations to the 8th Grade Dark Team! The Coyotes dominated their final away game with a commanding 45-28 victory over De Leon Middle School. Their hard work, teamwork, and determination were on full display, proving once again why they’re a force to be reckoned with. The Light Team battled hard but came up short. Their effort and resilience continue to inspire, and we know they’ll come back even stronger. Our final game is at home against Irene Garcia Middle School—let’s leave it all on the court and finish the season strong on Monday! We capped off a great evening with a stop at Chick-fil-A, where the team enjoyed excellent service and a well-deserved meal, making the night even more memorable. Let’s go, Coyotes!

Huge congratulations to the 8th Grade Dark Team on an outstanding performance!🎉🎉🏀🏀 After a hard-fought victory over De Leon Middle School, the team advanced to the championship game against Memorial Middle School. It was a thrilling, well-played contest, but we came up just short, earning a well-deserved 2nd place in the Division 2 Tournament. This game was a true display of skill and determination, and it’s clear that the future of La Joya ISD basketball is in great hands. The Coyotes’ future is bright—keep pushing forward!
