Final Game of the Season! The Coyotes wrapped up an incredible season with a hard-fought matchup against Irene Garcia Middle School. The Light Team battled from start to finish but came up short, while the Dark Team closed out the season with a well-earned victory. The Dark Team finished with an outstanding 14-2 district record across both their 7th and 8th grade seasons, a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and relentless effort over the past two years. The Light Team matched last year’s record, proving their resilience and continued growth. No matter the final score, both teams showcased the heart, hustle, and determination that define La Joya Coyotes basketball. To our players—this season was just one chapter in your journey, but the work doesn’t stop here. Continue to grow, improve, and push yourselves to be better every day. The future of Coyotes basketball is brighter than ever, and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead! A heartfelt thank you to all our parents for your unwavering support, dedication, and sacrifices over the past two years. Congratulations to the 8th Grade Dark Team! The Coyotes dominated their final away game with a commanding 45-28 victory over De Leon Middle School. Their hard work, teamwork, and determination were on full display, proving once again why they’re a force to be reckoned with. The Light Team battled hard but came up short. Their effort and resilience continue to inspire, and we know they’ll come back even stronger. Our final game is at home against Irene Garcia Middle School—let’s leave it all on the court and finish the season strong on Monday! We capped off a great evening with a stop at Chick-fil-A, where the team enjoyed excellent service and a well-deserved meal, making the night even more memorable. Let’s go, Coyotes!
