🔥 Big time start for Coyote Track! 🔥 Congratulations to our 7th Grade Boys and 8th Grade Boys for placing 1st Overall at their first full district track meet! 🥇🏃‍♂️ Our student-athletes showed great effort, determination, and teamwork all day long. We are proud of the progress they’ve made so far, but we know there’s still more work to be done. Huge congratulations to our LDZ UIL team! 🎉 On Saturday, March 3, our students competed at the District UIL Meet at Chavez Middle School and brought home 3rd Place Overall! 🏆 A special shoutout to our Science Team for earning 1st Place, and to the 40+ students who placed individually — your hard work and determination made this team finish possible! Thank you to our incredible coaches, supportive parents, and dedicated students. Your commitment truly shows. You earned these wins! ❤️ We also competed in TMSCA Qualifier #2 with multiple award winners! This past Saturday, our 7th and 8th grade boys and girls from De Zavala Middle School kicked off the Track & Field season with an outstanding performance! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ From the first race to the final event, our student-athletes competed with heart, determination, and pride. Their hard work and commitment were on full display, and we couldn’t be more proud of the way they represented our school. This is just the beginning for Coyote Track & Field. Keep pushing, keep improving, and keep competing.

After a tough semi-final match that came down to sudden-death penalty kicks, our 8th grade girls soccer team bounced back with determination and won their 3rd-place match to bring home a well-earned trophy and podium finish at this weekend's tournament. The Lady Coyotes wrap up their season Monday at home as they host Garcia MS — come out and support them as they finish strong! ⚽🔥

They do it again! 💪🏀 A big congratulations to the 8th Grade Boys Light Team for taking 3rd place at today’s McAllen tournament. After a challenging first game, the team responded in a big way—closing out the final with a clutch buzzer beater to earn the podium finish. The 8th Grade Dark Team battled through the consolation bracket, picking up a first-round win before falling in the final. Strong effort from both squads as they keep building momentum heading into the rest of the season.

The 8th grade Light team left it all on the floor, battling to the final buzzer for an exciting 18–17 win over Liberty Middle School. Relentless effort on every possession set the tone as the boys now head into this weekend’s tournament ready to build on the momentum. Proud of the fight—let’s keep it rolling! 🏀🔥

Reminder! 📣 Join us this Saturday for the Middle School GT Innovators Workshop at the Planetarium from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM. Students will enjoy hands-on STEAM activities, LEGO robotics, and a drone flying session. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
