La Joya ISD is proud to announce an increase to our retention stipend! Our Board of Trustees approved an increase of an additional $1250 to all returning full-time employees for a total of $2500! All NEW full-time employees to our district will receive a retention stipend of $1250. The retention stipend will be paid on Dec. 16, 2022. Thank you all La Joya ISD employees! College 1st hosted a Space Exploration camp for our 7th grade students and also exposed our 8th grade students to the various opportunities in the Health Science Professions.





We want to congratulate our Lorenzo de Zavala Beginner Band on an outstanding performance tonight. The students participated in their first concert alongside Chavez M.S. and Dr. Saenz M.S. We would like to thank our students, parents, administrators,and staff for their support!

LDZ honor roll students were treated to the RGV Vipers Kids Day game today as a reward for all their hard work in their classes. Students enjoyed a break from their studies as they watched the Vipers defeat the Birmingham Squadron 107-102. A big Thank You goes out to our principal, Ms. Silvia Elizondo for always looking for ways to recognize our students for their dedication to learning!
