🎉✨ January is School Board Recognition Month, and at La Joya ISD, we're joyfully celebrating our trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district and its students! 🏫💙 The theme for this year is "Locally Elected, Community Connected," emphasizing the vital link between our school trustees and the communities they serve. School board members, the largest group of locally-elected officials in the state, play a crucial role in shaping the future of education. 📚👏 Let's express our gratitude to these community leaders who tirelessly work for the betterment of our schools! 🙌🎊 #SchoolBoardRecognitionMonth

Mrs. Bañuelos and Lucas were honored to be asked by Mr Navarro and his class to join them on an expedition to discover resources found around our community. Students and Lucas, similar to Louis and Clark, used their 5 senses and the cardinal directions (north, south, east, and west) to locate resources and explore their uses in our daily life. Thank you for having us!
❤️ Lucas
