On April 27, 2023 La Joya ISD held its La Joya ISD Police Department Dedication Ceremony to honor Officer JJ Morales "KILO 1". We had the opportunity to express our appreciation for the exemplary work done by one of our own, Police Officer JJ Morales “KILO 1”. Our Police Department strives to provide excellence in safety by working collaboratively with the community and district to address crime. This meant that we honored an individual because their work and ethic was truly exceptional. Thank you to the Morales Family and everyone who contributed to this memorable event.
🎶🐾Congratulations to the Lorenzo de Zavala Middle School Beginner Band on their final performance of the year! 🎶🐾 Students performed alongside Cesar Chavez and Dr. Javier Saenz Middle School Band. Libraries of Things lend items like museum passes, games, musical instruments, and tools. Library programming brings communities together for entertainment, education, and connection through book clubs, story times, movie nights, crafting classes, and lectures. Library infrastructure advances communities, providing internet and technology access, literacy skills, and support for businesses, job seekers, and entrepreneurs. National Library Week 2023 will be a great time to tell your library’s multi-faceted story.

Reminders for Testing Days (STAAR & EOC)
1. Students should make an effort NOT to be absent.
2. Students should get a good night’s sleep and have a healthy breakfast prior to testing.
3. Students should arrive on time to school testing begins promptly.
4. Schools are closed to visitors on days when testing is being administered.
